Web-based scholarly publishing in which the client's collections of books, documents, newspapers, journals and any other types of print media (in their original format or on microfilm) are scanned, digitized, OCR-ed and made searchable for access on the client's own web site. Access to these works could be free to the public, available only to certain individuals or institutions, or available on a fee-per-use basis, thereby generating revenue for the client.
Electronic Editions takes your collections to their next logical place. Your work has been to collect, to catalogue and to preserve your holdings. Now they can be made accessible directly from your own web site. Electronic Editions can use your preservation microfilm for scanning, digitizing and creating a completely searchable database of your holdings. Images on your web site will have the exact look of the originals, as they have been created from the microfilm.
Keywords are highlighted on the page. All photographs and other graphic images are reproduced exactly as in the original works and can be copied and down-loaded. Researchers can have access to as much or as little of your collections as you deem appropriate, and can be charged for the use of the collections through a simple credit card transaction if that is your desire.
If your library or archive is interested in working with us on the creation of an electronic version of any collection within your holdings, please contact us.
